The Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research (PJCR) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed open-access medical journal published by the Open Access Institute for Research, located in Islamabad, Pakistan. Dedicated to the rapid and unrestricted dissemination of high-quality scientific literature, the journal serves as a definitive academic platform for healthcare professionals, clinical researchers, and academicians to publish original research, clinical trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and detailed clinical case studies. The core editorial scope of the journal is strictly bounded within clinical medicine and healthcare sciences, prioritizing evidence-based advancements in internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, clinical oncology, endocrinology, neurology, critical care, and infectious diseases, with a distinct emphasis on addressing clinical challenges and healthcare disparities prevalent within Pakistan and other developing regions.
Operating on a digital-first, Continuous Publication model integrated with an Online First workflow, the journal compiles its peer-reviewed scientific stream into two formal Semiannual volumes per calendar year, spanning January–June and July–December. All editorial workflows and published texts are executed exclusively in the English language, maintaining absolute compliance with the ethical benchmarks of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the core authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). To ensure absolute transparency, global interoperability, and true open-access compliance, all articles are issued under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted reuse and commercial application provided proper attribution is maintained, while ensuring that authors retain full, unrestricted copyright over their work. Long-term digital preservation, permanent resolution, and absolute archival integrity are technologically guaranteed through active metadata integration with Crossref Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) under the prefix 10.65761, alongside decentralized archiving via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) utilizing the LOCKSS infrastructure.
