About the Journal

The Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research (PJCR) is an international, peer-reviewed open-access medical journal dedicated to the rapid, unrestricted dissemination of high-quality scientific literature in the fields of clinical medicine and healthcare sciences. Operating on a digital-first, Continuous Publication model integrated with an Online First workflow, the journal compiles its stream of peer-reviewed articles into two formal Semiannual volumes per calendar year, spanning the cycles of January to June and July to December. All editorial and publication processes are executed strictly in the English language, maintaining absolute compliance with the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the core authorship recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

To facilitate global knowledge exchange and support author rights retention, the journal applies an unrestricted open-access framework under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This legal structure allows authors to retain full, unconditional copyright of their work while granting the journal a non-exclusive license to format, publish, index, and archive the final Version of Record. Long-term digital preservation and permanent global accessibility are guaranteed through active technological integration with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) plugin infrastructure, utilizing decentralized LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival software architectures to safeguard content across a distributed network of international library nodes. Backed by the organizational oversight of the Open Access Institute for Research in Islamabad, Pakistan, the journal maintains transparent administrative management, zero commercial sponsorship bias, and robust data privacy protections to ensure an equitable, scientifically sound publication environment for the global biomedical community.
