Paper Prints Policy

The Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research (PJCR) operates on a digital-first publishing framework to ensure rapid, unrestricted global access to biomedical literature. In strict alignment with the journal's commitment to environmental sustainability and the reduction of global paper waste, the physical print infrastructure completely bypasses traditional, large-scale automated printing runs. Instead, printing operates strictly on a controlled, Print-on-Demand (PoD) mechanism, ensuring that physical copies are never mass-produced or pre-printed speculatively.

Under this sustainable model, the continuous stream of peer-reviewed articles published online as soon as they are ready is compiled into two formal volumes per calendar year (January–June and July–December). Physical printing of these compiled issues is restricted exclusively to fulfilling verified institutional requests, legal statutory deposits, and mandatory compliance archiving. This localized approach eliminates excess paper consumption and carbon overhead while maintaining absolute structural alignment with international print preservation standards.
