Waiver Eligibility
The Pakistan Journal of Clinical Research (PJCR) is committed to promoting equitable global access to high-quality scientific research. To support authors from resource-limited settings, PJCR offers full or partial waivers for Article Processing Charges (APC) in line with internationally recognized standards. Authors may be eligible if the corresponding author is affiliated with an academic or research institution in a low-income country, holds a valid ORCID ID, submits a formal financial hardship statement from their institution, and requests the waiver at the time of manuscript submission. PJCR follows the World Bank classification for low-income countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, and many others. Authors must indicate the waiver in their cover letter, upload the required financial documentation, and meet all eligibility criteria. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the PJCR Editorial Board, and authors are notified within two weeks. Waiver approval does not affect the editorial or peer-review process, which remains solely merit-based, and is subject to availability based on the journal’s funding provisions. For questions or applications, authors may contact the PJCR Editorial Office at editor@pjcr.com. Through this APC waiver program, PJCR ensures that researchers worldwide have fair opportunities to publish and disseminate their work.
